Welcome to my website. My name is Brendan Kowtecky and I am a photographer with a keen interest in landscape and wildlife photography. I have always taken interest in photography, and as a child, I would love to take photographs of the various outdoor trips and adventures that I went on each year. As time moved on, I found myself becoming more passionate about trying to capture the beautiful places that I was lucky enough to visit, and began devoting more time to photography in each of my expeditions.

For the past 10 years I have been an outdoor adventure guide. This occupation has allowed me work in some of the most magical places on our planet. From New Zealand and Greenland to British Columbia and Antarctica, I have been lucky enough to make locations like these my office.

One of my greatest passions (which is evident through much of my work) is kayaking. Kayaking has allowed me to explore so many incredible areas that would have otherwise remain hidden. I believe that shooting from a kayak gives people a unique perspective of a scene. Photographing in a shaky wet environment can certainly be challenging at times, but personally, I find it very rewarding. It has been my main form of travel for much of my photography career and continues to be a large focus in my life.
